the position
Our Flora, MS location is seeking a Tech Customer Service Representative to add to our team. This position provides both consumer and technical customer support for Bushnell's Outdoor Technology end users. The position works with customer's to address product inquiries, issues and concerns. The position handles inquiries regarding repairs and/or replacements as well as part orders. The position also handles all customer service related contacts received by telephone, fax, mail and email with the highest level of professionalism and escalates issues for resolution, documentation and follow-up when necessary.
Responsibilities:
Works with customers to determine which products, accessories and plan of action best serves their individual needs.
Works with customers to sync, download or upload GPS maps for our Golf Products.
Receives and answers customer inquiries and requests regarding all Bushnell Product Brands, orders, repair status and other services offered.
Provides operational support for Bushnell's Outdoor Technology consumer products.
Reports any and all out-of-line conditions affecting customer satisfaction.
Researches and resolves lab inquiries.
Enters all parts orders for consumers.
Remains current on charges in policies, procedures and product offerings.
Develops and maintains positive department and company image and philosophy to the public.
Participates in other related tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
1 - 2 years customer service experience preferred
2 - 5 years of outdoor industry knowledge (Sports Optics, Golf, Hunting, Law Enforcement, Military, etc.)
Additional
Qualifications:
Excellent working knowledge of a variety of operating systems such as Windows and Mac; Able to walk customers through the removal and re-installation of sync applications via the telephone
Prefer prior experience working with AS400 and Microsoft Outlook
Previous experience with Golf products, Hunting products, Sports Optics products or Law Enforcement preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with customers and coworkers
Basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
